Welcome to “Introduction to Multimedia Composition: Cinema Appreciation in the Digital Age.” This will be our course website. You’ll find the syllabus in the menu above (or at this link) as well as a page where I’ve gathered all of the online resources we will be discussing throughout the semester (link here).

Weekly, I will be posting a brief recap of our sessions and a short prompt for the following week’s discussion so be sure to check this website regularly. You’re encouraged to comment and add to anything I post on here; some weeks, you’ll also be asked to contribute to the site.

We will also be using Google Drive to share resources and assignments. Our “Intro to Multimedia” Google Drive folder can be found here where you’ll find all the readings for the course that are listed as PDF on the syllabus. In order to share your work, you’ll have to sign on to Google using your scarletmail.rutgers.edu email address. You can find more info about the Google/Scarletmail collaboration here.

Blog Assignment (Due Jan 29th 5pm):
Set up a blog (I recommend WordPress). Make a comment on this post with the information for your new blog (including the URL) so I can link to it on the course website.
Write a reaction to a trailer of your own choosing. (250-500 words).
Respond to two of your classmates’ trailer posts.
